A little slow start getting back into the swing of this mural project. The past few days (SInce Monday), I've had a number of errands related and non-related to this job to deal with. The last time I was on the job a couple of weeks ago, I was asked to clean up, including removing all masking from the floor, removing my paint, ladders, worktable and related sundry supplies from the job site while Novatek entertained a handful of VIP's from all over the world. This occurred the week of September 26 through the 30th. During this "break", I have been working on easel painting commissions, which hopefully will end up in a total of 30 Novatek offices. Very busy!
Now that I'm all set up again, I'm getting my mural painting rhythm back and last week I finished up one new painting and two more almost done. By the first of the year, my goal of course is 30 new paintings. These 30 works will be used for making gilclee' prints. The originals will go with me to Scottsdale, Arizona (Celebration of Fine Art January 14-March 28 2012), were I will have the opportunity to sell them to art collectors.
This blog will follow the progress of Novatek's longest mural yet. Russell Ricks, of Ricks Fine Art calls this project his "Godzilla Mural Project".
