I got up early this morning ( 5:30 a.m. ) with the intention of doing a little volunteer church work at the local LDS meat packing plant before going to work on the GODZILLA PROJECT. Unfortunately, when I woke up, I had the dry heaves, a bad migraine headache, itchy eyes and a runny nose. I dropped by the meat packing plant just to let them know that I felt sick and thought it would be best if I didn't go to work there this morning for fear of contaminating the meat with some sort of virus. I have an appointment to see the doctor tomorrow morning. Hopefully it's nothing too serious. My biggest fear is catching pneumonia or bronchitis again. I can't afford to be out of commission for 3-4 weeks again. If it is something like that, perhaps I caught it early enough that a Z-Pak of antibiotics will kill it within just a few days.
In spite of how I felt, I did go to work on the mural today. I managed to paint an area of sky about eight feet by seventy-five feet of it ( not quite half, but almost ). My goal is to have the sky pretty well blocked in by Wednesday. So there I was, high as a kite, doped-up on Thera-Flu and Exedrin Migraine, up in the air painting clouds.
This blog will follow the progress of Novatek's longest mural yet. Russell Ricks, of Ricks Fine Art calls this project his "Godzilla Mural Project".
